Game Rules:

 1. A match will consist of three (3) games of eight ball.  Best two of three declares the winner

 2. Break:  the break will be determined by olago before the first game and will then alter through the match.

Eight Ball

1.Objective: Eight ball is a call shot game player with a que ball, and 15 object balls, numbered 1-15.  One player must pocket the balls numbered 1-7 also known as the solids. The other player player must pocket numbers 9-15 also known as the stripes.  The player who pockets his or her group of balls first and then legally pockets the eight ball wins the game.

 2. Socring: A player is entiteled to continue shooting until he or she fails to legally pocket a ball in his or her group.  After a player has legally pocketed all the balls in his or her group, he or she can shoot to pocket the 8 ball.

 3. Racking: The balls are racked in a triangle at the foot of the table with the 8 ball in the center of the triangle, the first ball of the rack in the foot spot, a stripe ball in one corner of the rack and a solid in the other corner.

 4. Breaking: To execute a legal break, the breaker must either pocket a ball or drive at least four numbered balls to the rail.  Failure to do so is a fowl and the incoming player has the option of shooting the ball as it is or having the balls re-racked.  If the balls are re-racked, the incoming player has the option of breaking or allowing the opponent to break again.

 5. Scratching on a break: If a player scratches on a legal break shot, it is a fowl.  All pocketed balls remain pocketed, except the 8 ball.  The incoming player has a cue ball in hand and may shoot from anywhere behind the head strain, but may not shoot an object ball that is behind the head strain, unless he first shoots the cue ball past the head strain.

 6. Eight Ball:  If the eight ball is pocketed on the break, the breaker may ask for a re-rack or have the eight ball spotted and continue shooting.  If the breaker scratches while pocketing the eight ball on a break, the incoming player has the option for a re-rack or having the eight ball spotted and shoot with the ball in hand behind the head strain.

7. Off Table:  If a player jumps an object ball off the table on a break shot, it is a fowl and the incoming player has the option of excepting the table in position and shooting or taking the cue ball in hand behind the head strain.

 8. Open table:  The table is open when the choice of groups (solids or stripes) has not yet been determined.  When the table is open, it is legal to hold a solid first to make a stripe or vise versa. THE TABLE IS ALWAYS OPEN IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE BREAK SHOT.  The choice of group is determined only when a player legally pockets a called object ball after the break shot.  If the eight ball is the first ball contacted and the table is open, no stripe or solid may be scored in favor of the shooter.  The shooter loses his or her turn and the table is open.

 9. Legal Shots:  (On all shots except on the break and when the table is open), the shooter must hit one of his or her group of balls first and pocket a numbered ball or calls the cue ball or any numbered ball to contact a rail.  Failure to meet these requirements is a fowl.

 10. Combination Shots:  Combinations shots are allowed; however, the eight ball cannot be used as the first ball in a combination unless the table is open.  A combination shot can never be used to legally pocket the eight ball.

`11. Foul Penalty:  After a foul, the opposing player gets the ball in hand.  The player can place the ball anywhere on the table.

 12. Illegally pocketed balls:  An object ball is considered to be illegally pocketed when the object ball is pocketed on the same shot a foul is committed or the called ball did not go in the designated pocket.  Illegally pocketed balls remain pocketed.

 13. Loss of Turn:  If any object ball is bounced off the table, it is a foul and a loss of turn.

 14. Impeding ball:  A player attempts to hit the cue ball around or over an impeding numbered ball and the impeding ball moves, it is a foul.

 15. Loss of Game:  A player loses the game if he commits any of the following infractions:

-Fouls when pocketing the eight ball (exception: rule 7)

-Pockets the eight ball on the same stroke as the last of his or her group

-Jumps the eight ball off the table at any time

-Pockets the eight ball in a pocket other than the one object ball

-All infractions must be called before another shot is taken, or else it will be deemed

  that no infraction incurred.

 16. Stalemate Rules:  If there are only two object balls and the eight ball remains on the table, stalemate rules apply.  This means that if after three consecutive turns at the table by each player, both players agree that by attempting to pocket an object ball will result in a loss of game, the balls will be re-racked with the original breaker breaking again.
